Well hello! You may have noticed that I haven’t blogged recently. You may be wondering why. Did the title of this post tip you off? I’m launching a PODCAST! The name of the show is Bold Moves, and episode one is with Malynda Hale! And, make sure that you scroll all the way to the bottom of this post, because I am celebrating with a giveaway! Before the Bold Moves Podcast Episode One: Malynda Hale begins, here’s some background!
A couple years ago, I launched Mandie.tv, which was my own web series that I did between my YouTube page and my Facebook page. I was posting a video every Tuesday and Thursday with different tips to help people with their lives.
Here’s my trailer!
Shortly after, Periscope and then Facebook live came out, and I abandoned the strict schedule that stressed me out, and instead went used streaming video. I also realized that I don’t watch longer videos online, but LOVE podcasts. So, after Blogfest, I decided I was going to start a podcast!
Some of the best things that have happened to me in my life have happened as a result of stepping outside of my comfort zone. Not only have the specific outcomes of each time that happened made my life more interesting, but every time I step out of my comfort zone, I realize whatever I was afraid of wasn’t as scary as I thought – and then both my comfort zone and my confidence expand! So that’s what my podcast is dedicated to – people who make bold moves and have them pay off for them!
I also have to show some gratitude! First, for the permission to use his song, I must thank a friend (whose birthday is today), Paul Blair! He made the amazing theme song for my blog!
I also have to thank a mentor from afar, Pat Flynn, for this amazing post on how to make a podcast! For anyone who is considering it, he definitely makes it easer!
Today’s the day of my launch! I decided that I want to feature some amazing people I’ve met or heard of – I don’t know all the answers! So I started with a friend of mine – Malynda Hale. You may recognize her from my portfolio, as I’ve done her makeup for several photo shoots, and red carpet events – including the Grammys!
I want to offer the visual for anyone who prefers it, so without further ado, here’s my interview with the fantastic Malynda Hale!
If you’d prefer to listen, please scroll to the bottom, and/or stay tuned to check it out on iTunes and Stitcher once I’m granted my approval (and the blog will be updated with those links once that happens)!
UPDATE: Bold Moves is live on Stitcher!
Here’s where you can find Malynda online! When you get to her site, there are links to all of her social media profiles!
Here’s the video we were talking about with her most recent song for the Black Lives Matter movement:
And, to celebrate the launch of the podcast, I am doing a giveaway! Since Malynda is vegan, I figured some vegan protein would be perfect! And since she has such a big heart, I figured some hemp hearts would be fun. And who can’t use a headband, some movie star sunglasses, and a water tumbler?
Bold Moves Podcast Episode One Giveaway: Vega Hearts for Malynda Hale!
Thank you so much for checking this out! Good luck with the giveaway!

My most recent bold move was joining a local mom’s group to meet some new people in our new city! I am such an introvert that this was WAY outside of my comfort zone, but I am excited to make some new connections!
That’s awesome! I hope you are able to make some new friends! I am sure you will grow through the experience! 😉
Congratulations on the podcast, Mandie – I am so excited for you and can’t wait to tune in. I haven’t made a “bold move” recently, but I definitely try to push myself out of my comfort zone when I can! Whether it’s chopping off all of my hair or moving across the country (and away from family and friends), I genuinely love the feeling of expanding my comfort zone (once I get past the fear and doubt, of course). Even if it doesn’t turn out the way I expected, there’s always a lesson to be learned.
Thank you so much, Jessica! I was going to bring up the cross-country move as an example of a bold move of yours! It wasn’t that recent, but it is a biggie many people don’t do! And yes, I totally agree! I definitely learned some lessons trying to figure out the podcasting thing, and I am sure I will learn many more! 😉
My latest bold move was going to a level 1 CrossFit seminar & passing!
Awesome, congratulations!
Great giveaway! I will look up the podcast and give it a listen 😀
I hope you love it! Good luck!
Great show, Mandie! My last bold move was 2 years ago when I changed jobs to a new company in a new field, doing something that I wasn’t sure I was really qualified for. And since then I’ve been promoted once and am facing new challenges every day!
Thank you so much, Al! Hope that you are happy about your bold move, despite the challenges! <3 Thank you for listening!
